Don't Compromise Your Mental Health to "Keep the Peace"

Enforce your boundaries to protect your mental health. There are some things you can’t compromise on, and this is an important one. Sometimes we give in to keep things civil and “peaceful” especially with loved ones. But it’s a matter of respect. I’ve said this many times: setting and enforcing your boundaries or redirecting conversations is not rude or disrespectful unless you make it that way.
